Ground Zero Mosque Rebuttal: The 9/11 Christian Center

Published by admin under In God We Trust

(July 15) — Plans to build a mosque and Muslim community center two blocks from ground zero, former site of the World Trade Center, have not been well received by many non-Muslims around the country — to say nothing of some New Yorkers.

For proof, check out the thousands of protesters who gathered to express their outrage at the project last month, or the proposed anti-mosque TV ad that was recently rejected by the major networks.

Now, one man appears to be ready to fight religious fire with religious fire. Televangelist Bill Keller announced this week he will build a $1 million “9/11 Christian Center at Ground Zero.”

“If they can put a mosque near ground zero, we should be able to put a Christian center near ground zero and give people a choice,” Keller told DNAinfo today.

He also told the website that the proposed mosque was “a spit in the face of the people of New York.”

Keller is the founder of LivePrayer, a website he launched in 1999 “for the sole purpose of having a site on the Internet where people can go 24 hours a day, seven days a week for prayer. The whole mission of LivePrayer.com is to give those who are hurting … hope.”

A former computer salesman convicted of insider trading who became a born-again Christian, Keller is known for mixing Muslim stereotypes and slurs into his evangelical messages. He’s also a “birther” who produced an infomercial last year soliciting donations to pressure President Barack Obama to show his birth certificate.

Now his organization has put up a separate website for the 9/11 Christian Center, which is collecting donations from those who wish to “stand against evil.” Like Keller’s other website, it includes links to virulent anti-Muslim screeds.

It is unclear whether Keller has obtained the necessary permissions to actually construct the center. Still, he plans to hold monthly prayer meetings in the nearby Embassy Suites Hotel until it is built.

The proposed $100 million mosque/Islamic center at ground zero, however, has obtained its building permissions. It is a collaboration between the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement, conceived in the wake of 9/11 to promote “integration, tolerance of difference and community cohesion through arts and culture” based on the Islamic values of “compassion, generosity and respect for all.”

Furthermore, it has the support of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and state Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, now the Democratic gubernatorial candidate. The Republican contender for governor, Rick Lazio, has called upon Cuomo to investigate the center’s funding in his capacity as attorney general.

The Bad American

Published by admin under In God We Trust

YES, I’M A BAD AMERICAN

I Am the Liberal-Progressives’ Worst Nightmare. I am an American.  I believe the money I make belongs to me and the_bad_american.jpgmy family, not some Liberal governmental functionary be it Democratic or Republican!  I’m in touch with my feelings and I like it that way!

I think owning a gun doesn’t make you a killer, it makes you a smart American.  I think being a minority does not make you noble or victimized, and does not entitle you to anything.
I believe that if you are selling me a Big Mac, do it in English.  I believe everyone has a right to pray to his or her God when and where they want to.  My heroes are John Wayne, Babe Ruth, Roy Rogers, and whoever canceled Jerry Springer.

I don’t hate the rich. I don’t pity the poor.  I know wrestling is fake and I don’t waste my time watching or arguing about it.

I’ve never owned a slave, or was a slave, I haven’t burned any witches or been persecuted by the Turks and neither have you! So, shut up already.

I believe if you don’t like the way things are here, go back to where you came from and change your own country! This is AMERICA .   If you were born here and don’t like it you are free to move to any Socialist country that will have you.

I want to know which church is it exactly where the Reverend Jesse Jackson preaches, where he gets his money, and why he is always part of the problem and not the solution.

Can I get an AMEN on that one?

I think the cops have every right to shoot your sorry rear if you’re running from them…I also think they have the right to pull you over if you’re breaking the law, regardless of what color you are.

And, no, I don’t mind having my face shown on my drivers license. I think it’s good….. And I’m proud that “God” is written on my money.

I think if you are too stupid to know how a ballot works, I don’t want you deciding who should be running the most powerful nation in the world for the next four years.

I dislike those people standing in the intersections trying to sell me stuff or trying to guilt me into making “donations” to their cause.

I believe “illegal” is illegal no matter what the lawyers think.

I believe the American flag should be the only one allowed in AMERICA !

If this makes me a BAD American, then yes, I’m a BAD American

If you are a BAD American too, please forward this to everyone you know.

We want our country back!

Las Vegas Diamond Rio concert

Published by admin under In God We Trust

They received an immediate resounding standing ovation, and continue to do so every time they perform it! Everyone who loves America should be thrilled to hear this song!Although Diamond Rio has never before done a statement song, they felt compelled to record ‘In God We Still Trust.’ But guess what?
Sadly, major radio stations wouldn’t play it because it was considered ‘politically incorrect’. Consequently, the song was never released to the public.
So America, see what you think.  If this offering speaks to your heart, and you want to share it with friends and loved ones, please do
