The Audacity of Hope

Published by admin under Obama

The book Audacity of Hope contains a comment regarding Obama standing with the Muslims if the political winds shift in an ugly direction.  This comment alone should scare every American in this country.

Why is all of this going unnoticed by the media????
They send 1000 reporters to Alaska to dig up something on Sarah Palin and they have this right in front of their eyes!

From Dreams of My Father:
‘I ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites..’

From Dreams of My Father:
‘I found a solace in nursing a pervasive sense of grievance and animosity against my mother’s race.’

From Dreams of My Father:
‘There was something about him that made me wary, a little too sure of himself, maybe. And white.’

From Dreams of My Father:
‘It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names.’

From Dreams of My Father:
‘I never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn’t speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa , that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself , the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela.’

And FINALLY the Most Damning one of ALL of them!!!

From Audacity of Hope:
‘I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.’

Re-Distribution of Wealth

Published by admin under Obama

Redistribution Of Wealth

Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign the read

“Vote Obama, I need the money.”

I laughed.

Once in the restaurant my server had on a “Obama 08″ tie.
Again, I laughed — just imagine the coincidence.

When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and instead I explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept.  He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need–the homeless guy outside the restaurant.

The server became very agitated and angrily stormed off from my table.

I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I’ve decided that he (the homeless guy) could use the money more.  The homeless guy was very grateful.

At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized that the homeless guy was very grateful for the money that he did not earn but badly needed.  The waiter, on the other hand, was pretty angry that I gave away the money that he in fact DID earn.  He didn’t like the idea that someone else decided to take away the money which he had earned to “redistribute” it to someone who appeared to need the money more.

I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application.
Or is it that the REDISTRIBUTION OF SOMEONE ELSE’S WEALTH IS A GREAT IDEA …

But when it’s your money…
or maybe this is all just a fools political game.

Interesting Election Statistics

Published by admin under Election Stats

Notice that only in the states of Alaska and Oklahoma: All counties were won by McCain/Palin.

the_map.jpg

Some unreported stats about the 2008 election
Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the 2008 Presidential election:

- Number of States won by: Democrats: 20; Republicans: 30

- Square miles of land won by: Democrats: 580,000; Republicans: 2,427,000

- Population of counties won by: Democrats: 127 million; Republicans: 143 million

- Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Democrats: 13.2; Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory Republican won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens.

Democrat territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in rented or government-owned tenements and living off various forms of government welfare…”

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase.

Headlines on this date 4 years ago

Published by admin under The Media

I actually did some research on headlines from 4 years ago and this is correct 1/22/2009

This is why I dont read the news. Why would I PAY to let someone give me information that is slanted to their own liking? I am not saying that what happens on a national scale isnt important to me, it certainly is. I am only saying that reading the news papers is not a good way to get the information that I need to make a well informed decision. I try everyday to take back my own thoughts and stop letting others, like the news papers, TELL me what to think… We ALL need to start making our own decisions based on what we KNOW, not what someone like the news papers tell us.

Incredible; stuff like this makes me nuts.  I guess our media assumes everyone believes the crap they shovel at us…….as though none of us are capable of individual thought.  Jeez……………
And the beat goes on and the nay-sayers persist in their intractable denial.

Headlines On This Date 4 Years Ago:

”Republicans spending $42 million on inauguration while troops Die in unarmored Humvees”

”Bush extravagance exceeds any reason during tough economic times”

”Fat cats get their $42 million inauguration party, Ordinary Americans get the shaft”

Headlines Today:

”Historic Obama Inauguration will cost only $120 million”

”Obama Spends $120 million on inauguration; America Needs A Big Party”

”Everyman Obama shows America how to celebrate”

”Citibank executives contribute $8 million to Obama Inauguration”

Nothing like fair & unbiased coverage of the news, eh!!!!!

When the Insane run the Mental Asylum

Published by admin under Nancy Pelosi

Windfall Tax on Retirement IncomeWhen the Insane run the Mental AsylumWhen the Insane run the Mental AsylumWhen the Insane run the Mental Asylum

Adding a tax to your retirement is simply another way of saying to the American people, you’re so darn stupid that we’re going to keep doing this until we drain every cent from you. That’s what the Speaker of the House is saying. Read below……………

Nancy Pelosi wants a Windfall Tax on Retirement Income.  In other words tax what you have made by investing toward your retirement. This woman is a nut case! You aren’t going to believe this.

Madam speaker Nancy Pelosi wants to put a Windfall Tax on all stock market profits (including Retirement fund, 401K and Mutual Funds! Alas , it is true – all to help the 12 Million Illegal Immigrants and other unemployed Minorities!

 This woman is frightening.
She quotes…’ We need to work toward the goal of equalizing income, (didn’t Marx say something like this?), in our country and at the same time limiting the amount the rich can invest.’  (I am not rich, are you?)

When asked how these new tax dollars would be spent, she replied:
We need to raise the standard of living of our poor, unemployed and minorities. For example, we have an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in our country who need our help along with millions of unemployed minorities. Stock market windfall profits taxes could go a long way to guarantee these people the standard of living they would like to have as ‘Americans’.’  (Read that quote again and again and let it sink in.  ’Lower your retirement, give it to others who have not worked as you have for it’.
Send it on to your friends. I just did!! This lady is out of her mind and she is the speaker of the house!
